The Saturday Market
The Saturday Marketing is a fun, interesting and rewarding visit. Located in the Park in Ganges, the Market is famous for displaying local art, crafts and garden products. It takes place every Saturday from April to October, 8:00 am to 4pm. There is something for everyone ó from a $1.50 pure fruit-juice popsicle to a $1,000 wooden bowl. Youíll find local food, both fresh and prepared. Local gourmet organic cheeses and breads are a special treat. A ëmust-doí.
You'll find work by artists in contemporary and traditional styles of painting, jewellry, basketry, fabric arts, weaving, paper-making, sculpture, photography, pottery, glasswork, carving, metal work and ceramics.
Artcraft in Ganges is open all summer and displays crafts for several hundred Artisans on the Island.

People literally fly thousands of miles and stay just overnight to pick up a desired piece by a local artist.
There's a concentration and level of art and culture here far beyond what the size of the community would indicate.
