Your Safari Guide

Becoming a culinary tour guide was a natural for me. After 10 years in retail management here on Salt Spring, I decided to turn to something more creative and innovative. Voila!! I love all kinds of travel, but no matter what I am doing I always end up in the markets talking to the locals or the little side street cafes and delis where the locals shop. I love culture in a grassroots form. I love to entertain and cook but profess that I have many more friends and acquaintances who are better. (That is a good thing.)

I spend some of my down time enjoying the company of friends with a homemade soup or a coffee. I sing in a local choir and study business courses. I spend time watching my sonís football games and helping my daughter with her 9 month old son. When I have the time I will head off island to an art gallery or concert and may browse a yard sale or flea market along the way. I have a fascination for stuff made into something else and relish the creativity of ëreborní art.

My promise to you

I have worked hard to design tours that will show guests what a beautiful island home we have.

I will show you the island through the eyes of a local.

I will show you the island so you feel like you have seen it all or have a an intro to all there is to discover.

You will be enticed by the custom Safaris and will want to come back and have me show you more.

I can introduce you to information that is just not available in the usual places.

I will show you scenery and beaches you may never find. And the food. Some of the foods we taste during the day are only available on Salt Spring, and during some parts of the year it is only available on my Safaris.

My custom Safaris will focus on themes that give my guests only the stops that interest them. With a brief telephone interview we can decide on the stops that you want to see.

I will make sure that you are safe and relaxed throughout the day. I will ensure that details are taken care of so you can have the maximum enjoyment for your day.
